NFTs?WTF?!

Yeah, we were skeptical too. But weirdly enough they actually work really well as a permanent, lifetime membership card to something, especially if you need to build a bunch of online gateways for exclusive content. Which is what we're doing! Evo Kid Army members are going to get access to some truly rad stuff!

We worked with our long-time friends at Nervous to create this, and the whole process of buying the NFT is super easy AND you can use a credit card OR Ethereum! And we're keeping these super cheap...each Evo Kid Army membership NFT is only 0.03 ETH. (The price of ETH fluctuates, but right now 0.03 is only about $40.)

What about the environment?

There are definitely some issues around the ecological impact of cryptocurrencies and NFTs. This is why we are partnering with Spark Eco to help offset the ecological impact of all Evo Kids that are minted. We are going to give 5% of all Evo Kid Army proceeds to Spark Eco to distribute to non-profits working on environmental issues and proof of stake research.

How To Mint Your Evo Kid Army NFT

The mint price for the Evo Kid Army NFT is 0.03 ETH. (This is less than $50.) To purchase you will need either a crypto wallet (we recommend MetaMask or Coinbase) with at least 0.04 ETH in it (this covers the cost of the NFT as well as the "gas fee", a network fee), OR a Crossmint account and credit card.


To buy with ETH:

To do this you’ll need to set up a MetaMask or Coinbase wallet and load it at least 0.04 ETH (0.03 for the Evo Kid Army NFT, and an additional 0.01 to cover network fees). Instructions here: MetaMask / Coinbase

Once you've set up your MetaMask or Coinbase wallet, copy the public wallet address (MetaMask / Coinbase), and then go to your Crossmint profile. Select your Evo Kid Army NFT and click the EXPORT button. A window will pop up asking you for your Ethereum wallet address. Enter that address (double check it first!), then click Export. It can take up to 24 hours for your NFT to arrive in your wallet, so be patient and check back the next day.

Once your transfer is complete, you can view your Evo Kid Army NFT in a few different ways:

MetaMask or Coinbase Mobile: Just select the NFT tab to see all NFTs in your wallet.

Desktop: Visit OpenSea.io and click the User Icon in the top right corner. Connect your wallet, then click “Profile” from the dropdown to see all NFTs in your collection.

Visit the website on your platform of choice. If using a desktop browser extension for your crypto wallet, visit using that browser. If you’re on mobile, please use the browser inside your wallet app. There is a green button that says “CONNECT WALLET” at the top of the page. Make sure you're logged into your wallet, then click that button and select the wallet you are using. A modal window will pop up asking you to confirm your connection. Confirm!

Once connected, the button will change to a quantity selector, with a button that says “Mint for XXX Ether”. Select the quantity of Evo Kid Army passes you’d like to mint, then click that button. Another modal will open asking you to verify and confirm that transaction, and showing you the total cost + gas fee for that transaction. Confirm that transaction and your minting will begin! Depending on network traffic it can take a few minutes for your transaction to complete.

Once your transaction as completed, you can view your Evo Kid Army NFT in a few different ways:

MetaMask or Coinbase Mobile: Just select the NFT tab to see all NFTs in your wallet.

Desktop: Visit OpenSea.io and click the User Icon in the top right corner. Connect your wallet, then click “Profile” from the dropdown to see all NFTs in your collection.


To buy with Credit Card:

Visit the website on your platform of choice. There is a friendly green button that says “CONNECT WALLET” right at the top of this page. Click that button, and select “Buy With Credit Card”. That will open a new window to login with Crossmint. If you have already signed up for Crossmint, just login to your account. If not, you will need to create an account at this step with whatever login method you prefer. (Google is incredibly fast and easy for this!)

Once you have logged in to Crossmint, your window will show the total price you are paying in USD (this is the price of the NFT, the current gas fee, plus a small surcharge by Crossmint. Clicking the Items button under the Crossmint logo will show you an itemized breakdown of these costs). Punch in your credit card and billing details, and hit PAY. The window will change to a minting progress bar, and the minting process at this point will take 1-2 minutes.

Once your transaction is complete, you’ll see an image of your NFT and a button that says “View Your Collection”. You can click this button to immediately visit your Crossmint collection page and see your Evo Kid Army NFT!

IMPORTANT: In order to access the benefits of the Evo Kid Army you will need to transfer your NFT out of Crossmint and into a MetaMask or Coinbase wallet! To do this you’ll need to set up a MetaMask or Coinbase wallet. Instructions here: MetaMask / Coinbase
